About The Springfield Singers

A ladies' choir for all voices — singing with heart since 1984

Who We Are

The Springfield Singers is a ladies’ choir that has been making music in the Forest of Dean since 1984. We rehearse in Lydney, with members joining us from across the Forest and surrounding areas.

Our members bring different levels of musical experience, but share a love of singing, learning and performing together. With no auditions, we aim to provide a friendly and encouraging environment where every voice is valued.

Our varied repertoire ranges from chart favourites and traditional songs to folk, classical and sacred music. We are led by our Musical Director, Tracey, and accompanied by our pianist, Hayley, who together help the choir continue to develop while keeping rehearsals enjoyable and welcoming.

Meet the People Behind the Choir

Meet the people who help The Springfield Singers thrive both on and off the stage.

Music, Friendship and Belonging

The Springfield Singers is shaped by the people who sing with us. Members come from different backgrounds and generations, bringing their own experiences, personalities and voices to the choir.

Rehearsals give us the opportunity to learn and improve together, but they are also an important part of our social lives. Friendships grow through shared music, laughter, mutual encouragement and the many experiences we enjoy as a choir.

New members are warmly welcomed and supported as they settle in. Whether someone joins with years of singing experience or is returning to music after a long break, we want them to feel that they belong.
